Agnieszka Rostkowska

Editor

For her first truly independent holiday, Agnieszka chose to go to Iraq and returned with a lifelong love for the Middle East. A graduate of International Relations and Oriental Studies, she has lived in Istanbul and New Delhi. After deciding to stay in Turkey for a while, Agnieszka began to work there as a correspondent for the “Gazeta Wyborcza” daily. There, she became a press reporter, and the years to come had her tread the globe from one socio-political event to the next. She wrote about them for Polish magazines such as “Polityka” and “Tygodnik Powszechny”, now and again taking a breather behind the desk in the editor’s office. One of her last journeys resulted in the book “Wojownicy o szklanych oczach. W poszukiwaniu Nowej Turcji” [Glass-Eyed Warriors: In Search of the New Turkey]. At “Przekrój”, she is elevating her love for the written word to a new level, both through writing and supporting others as an editor. Once she turns off her computer, Agnieszka turns into a yogini.
