Product description

This image is taken from the cover of issue no. 170 of Przekrój, Poland’s oldest society and culture magazine. It was originally published on July 11, 1948. The creator of this illustration, Zbigniew Lengren, was a famous graphic artist, cartoonist, and author of caricatures, aphorisms, and epigrams, who worked with Przekrój weekly from almost the beginning. His series featuring Professor Filutek and his dog Filuś is one of the publication’s most recognizable symbols.

Solving a jigsaw puzzle is a great way to slow down, and spend time with family and friends, or be by yourself. This activity is not only an opportunity to take a break from the everyday hustle and bustle, but it’s also a healthy exercise for the brain. Arranging these patchwork pieces has a positive effect on visual memory, and improves logical thinking. Additionally, in practicing concentration and patience, solving a puzzle resembles the mechanisms of meditation. There are 440 pieces to be arranged, made of 1.5 mm thick cardboard and packaged in an organza bag made from synthetic yarn derived from recycled plastic bottles.

Have fun playing!
